CJ’s Tire receives 2011 Jeremy Carroll Award for its support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association

READING, Pa. – Nov. 21, 2011. CJ’s Tire & Automotive Services was honored at the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Black and Blue Ball, Friday, Nov. 18 at Classic Harley Davidson in Leesport, for its continued support of MDA.

According to the Jeremy Carroll Foundation, the award is given annually to a company or individual who has “kept Jeremy’s indomitable spirit alive by supporting the fight against muscle diseases.”

For the past two years, CJ’s has donated to MDA, and is also a continued supporter of breast cancer research, local youth athletics, Toys for Tots and Unicef.

“We are truly honored to be receiving this award,” said Paul Levengood, owner of CJ’s Tire. “We are very thankful to our customers, vendors and employees for their team effort in our fundraising initiatives.”

This year’s Black and Blue Ball brought in more than $90,000, which benefits the local chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and local families affected by neuromuscular disease.
