Winegard Simplifies Digital TV On RV Buddies

For Immediate Release – December 18, 2008 -- Winegard’s Jim Flynn will be featured on RV Buddies beginning this December 26, where he will discuss all aspects of the coming change-over to digital television.

It's official, on February 17th, 2009, analog signals will stop, and digital takes over. Are you ready? Will your old TV work? Are digital and HDTV the same? Do you have to buy a new TV? Will your existing antenna still work?

Jim Flynn, Southwest Regional Sales Manager of Winegard, appears with Mark Summers and Elise Baughman, hosts of RV Buddies, to discuss these questions and much more.

"Whether for your RV or your home, this is a really important show," says Summers, host of RV Buddies adding, "between Elise and myself, I think we asked about every question possible – and Jim answered them all in way that normal folks can understand."

“Many folks are worried about the coming switch to digital television, but this feature will be a great way to reassure them that it will be very easy and relatively inexpensive to update their old television sets and antennas,” said Aaron Engberg, Winegard’s director of mobile entertainment division. “Whether it’s a television in an RV or even in a home, Winegard has a product that will bridge the digital gap, and Jim will be there to help explain exactly what it will take to do just that.”

RV Buddies, besides doing lifestyle, reviews and adventure segments, produces information segments like this that benefit the community. Summers had this to say: "Our recent Bob Tiffin interview touched so many people. We often overlook pride and customer service" adding, "Winegards approach to quality and service is of the highest caliber. The information Jim provides is essential for the consumer to educate themselves so they can spend their hard-earned dollars the right way."
